It all started when Joey won in the 9th Philippine Web Awards for “Best Personal Website” and received his first DSLR as a gift from his parents. Initially he doesn’t have any expensive gears and even used the accompanying 18-55mm kit-lens for a year. On his 2nd year as a hobbyist he had the chance to add the 50mm prime and UWA 10-22mm lenses in his gears.

Having knowledge with graphic arts is a big advantage for him. In fact, his first job was a graphic arts teacher in Makati where he taught the Basics of Photoshop and Flash.

While many photographers have their own specialty, he rather not have one because he prefers to try everything. His gallery is a random collection of anything from landscape, conceptual, fine art nude, macro, night, portrait photography and even slices of HDR and digital arts.
